He was predeceased by: his daughter Paula; his siblings, George (Lillian), Noreen (Wallace), James (Beverley), Wilfred and Alfred; and his brother-in-law Ken.

He is survived by: his wife May; his son Nelson (Daisy); his granddaughters, Amanda and Kimberly; his stepmother Yuen Yee; his siblings, Loretta and William (Gerri); and his sisters-in-law, Mary, Dorothy and Dawn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
