She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Lord and Jean Sheridan Lord of Vancouver, BC.; her brothers, Bruce Lord and Bill Lord; and her daughter Lesley Anne Murray.
She is survived by: her significant other Bob Younger; her children, Allison Murray (Tom Dontsos), Barbara Murray and Bruce Murray (Sandra Borthwick); her grandchildren, Katie Dontsos, Emily Dontsos, Chloe Dayman, Jess Applebaum, Eli Applebaum and James Murray; her significant other's children, Janet Younger, Doug Younger and Ken Younger; and her sister-in-law Glady Lord. She is also survived by extended family including many nieces and nephews.
Mary Jean Younger (nee Lord), aged 98, died peacefully at The Heights at Mount View in Victoria on April 21, 2024, after a long, full life and after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
