It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Harry Isaac Bate of Victoria, British Columbia, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bate and Mary Bate; his in-laws, Ike and Dorie Braun; and his mentor Dave Dauphinee (Elaine).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Dave and Lisa; his grandchildren, Jordan, Riley, Jacob, Harper Bate of South Africa, Ellie and Tiernan McMahon of America; and his brother-in-law Bill Braun (Hilary).
