He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin and Hilda; and his siblings, Nelly, Winnie, Mike and Allen.
He is survived by: his former spouse Nelly Elizabeth Kranenburg; his wife Nel; his son Rodney Michelle (Clint); his grandchild Joey Shay (Hayden); his great grandchildren, Huxley and Briley; and his siblings, Adrian, Annie, Pat, Jenny and Kim. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
