Mato Blazevic Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2025, at the age of 80, Mato Blazevic (Vernon, British Columbia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Mato may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mato touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mirko Blazevic and Ana Blazevic. He is survived by: his wife Janjica Bogovic; his daughters, Slavica Markac, Jackie (Enzo Saponaro) and Anita (Shane Taylor-Lane); his grandchildren, Marko, Michael, Marina, Nickolas and Emma; and his sisters, Kate Vukovic and Slavica Krajnc. He is also survived by cousins and many nieces and nephews.
