With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Evelyn Gourlay (Vernon, British Columbia), who passed away on April 19, 2021 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Evelyn Gourlay to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Helen Ternoway and Bill Ternoway; her husband Jim; her brothers, John (Violet) and Albert (Jacquie); her sister-in-law Mary Jane Gourlay; her children, Anne Gourlay-Langlois (André), Janet Gourlay-Vallance, Elizabeth Gourlay, Margaret Gourlay (Laurel), James Gourlay (Becky) and David Gourlay (Leslie); her nephew Ron Ternoway; and her nieces, Diane Dika and Joanne Shmyr. She was also cherished by loving mother to his four children.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date when Covid-19 restrictions allow.
Donations in lieu flowers may be made to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, of which Mary was a long-time member of the Auxiliary. Alternately, given Mary's love for animals, donations may be made to the B.C. SPCA.
