She is survived by: her parents, Clifford Kanester and Lillian Kanester; her brothers, James (Anne-Marie) and Clinton (Kathy); her nieces, Nadia, Jennifer, Emily and Wynne; and her sibling Cedars. She is also survived by 2 aunts and many cousins.

Janet's last years were difficult after a diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease.
