He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Claire; his children, Tracy (Ken), Rick (Jenny) of Vernon and Tina (Jim) of Pender Island; his brothers, Ken (Wendy) of Vernon and Rod (Carol) of Royston; his uncle Ralph; and his parents, Violet Christensen and Leyden Christensen. He was also cherished by his 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grand-children and many nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the McMurtry-Baerg Cancer Centre though the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation.
