Barbara Janice Schmidt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Janice Schmidt of Vernon, British Columbia, born in Edmonton, Alberta, who passed away on June 26, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Belle (Sieg) and Raymond Mitchell Shuck; her siblings, Winnie, Hilda, Rowena and Bruce; and her former husband Clem.
She is survived by: her husband Clement August Schmidt; her daughter Nanette (Blair); her children-in-law, Doug and Blair; her children, John (Wendy), Raymond (Evelyn), David (Carol) and Anne Marie (Doug); her grandchildren, Geoffrey (Michelle), Adrienne (Nathan), Warren, Deanna (Eric), Theresa (Kevin), Sarah (Matthew) and Graham (Corinne); and her great grandchildren, Linden, Dane, Kaleb, Emmi, Molly, Liam, Declan, Eben, Andee, Hudson and Bensen. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
So many things were done by others for Mom that were indeed blessings and she was able to die peacefully (not, thankfully, due to COVID-19), still enjoying life at home with family, nurses, pets, gardening, art, Star Trek and other favorite programs, and music.
