He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Waldo Hirtle and Frances Hirtle. He is survived by: his wife Janet; his sons, Matthew Hirtle (Cylena) and David Hirtle (Lacey) of Vancouver, BC; his siblings, Sharon Britton (Paul) of Halifax, NS, Wanda Evans (George) of Cole Harbour, NS and Bill Hirtle (Jan) of Sackville, NB; and his grandchildren, Zoe, Sienna, Anna and Sam Hirtle.
