It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great
grandfather and friend Anthony Paul Soichuk (Rigatoni) on August 8, 2023. Born in Vernon B.C. to Andrew and
Effie Soichuk where he resided until relocating to Trail in 1970. He worked at Cominco until 1974 when he made
the switch to the local 2300 carpenters union (CMAW). During his time as a carpenter/rigger he had the privilege
to mentor and teach other workers. He worked on 7 hydro dams across B.C. and Manitoba as well as many other projects in the area. His work was a
great pride to him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking and spending time with his family. Dad is predeceased by his mom, dad,
sister and brother. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley. His son Paul (Lisa), their six children and five grandchildren. His daughter Tanya
and her four children and 3 grandchildren. As well as five siblings, Sonja (Henry), Kathy (Shawn), Carol (Dave), Marion and Mike. Dad fought
cancer for 15 years never giving up. He passed away peacefully and pain-free with his family and friends by his side. No service or funeral as
per Dad’s wishes. Thank you to the Trail Oncology Department.
