He was predeceased by: his son Rick (Janice); his grandson Tommy; and his sisters, Yolande, Denise and Lucille.

He is survived by: his wife Elsie; his brother Marcel Bessette; his daughters, Valerie Beemish and Joanne Nickson Michael (Barry); and his grandchildren, Matt, Darrell John (Taya), Vivienne and Jonathan André (Jessica). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
