He was predeceased by: his mother Julianne; his daughter Dianne Lydia; his wife Martha Jordan; and his siblings, Ewald Spletzer, Ruth Bergen, Else Gietz, Alma Rode, Arthur Spletzer and Reinhart Spletzer.
He is survived by: his son Erwin Peter; his daughter-in-law Marina of Delta; his brother Rubin Spletzer (Winnipeg); and his sister-in-law Lydia Spletzer (Calgary). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
