She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Ellis and Estella May Cowan Proctor (Black); her husband Richard Collins (Dick); and her sisters, Ruby Sneed and Pearl Hendrix Brown.

She is survived by: her children, Rick Collins, Barry Collins, Tom Collins and Judith Maxie (Tanya); her nieces, Theresa Lewis and Faith Hendrix Ray; and her nephew Henri Brown. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
