He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Pirie and Florence Gertrude; his former wife Suzanne; and his son-in-law Ron Baker. He is survived by: his children, Donald, Kathleen, Florence, Irene, Kenneth, Jean, Douglas, Bertha, Heather (Stuart), Susan, Patricia and Richard (Samantha); and his wife Carol.

Due to the pandemic, a private Celebration of Life for immediate family members is being held on January 21, 2021 at the Valley View Funeral Home. When the pandemic permits, a Celebration of Life will be held for extended family and friends.
