She was predeceased by: her husband Kiyoshi Shimizu; and her son Victor (Laurie). She is survived by: her children, Julianne (Tom), Lena (Dale) and Ronald (Susanna); her granddaughters, Kelly Ellis (David), Carlyn (Shea) and Catrina Oliveira; and her siblings, Shigeru Uyeyama and Harumi Kishi.
