He was predeceased by: his parents, James Halliday Parks Munro and Lucinda Lyndon Smith; his wife Sarah; his siblings, Doreen, Shirley, Audrey, Bill and Gordon; and his nieces and nephews, Blair and Gloria.

He is survived by: his children, Ivan (Marilyn) and Angela (Ken); his son-in-law Jack Foulkes (Gloria); his grandchildren, Natalie (Allan), Durin, Joel and Clara; and his great grandchildren, Kirsten and Brian. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
