He was predeceased by: his parents, Inocentio Alvarez (Eno) and Isabel Fullner; and his sister Annabel (Bednarz). He is survived by: his former wife Frances Ann Palley; his wife Rosella Leslie; his children, Nancy Johns, Lori Alvarez (Jorge Umanzor), Lisa Thompson (David), Thomas (Deb Kulinsky) and Nathan; and his grandchildren, Joseph Stein, Michael Cox, Joshua Thompson, Alex Alvarez (Heather), Carlo Umanzor, Sara Stein, Dala Cox (Jeffrey Lance), Kristi Lipp, Terra Alvarez and Audrey Alvarez. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
