He was predeceased by: his wife Claire Tench; his son Leslie Tench; his stepson Glen Caponero; his parents, Charles Tench and Laure Tench; and his siblings, Joy and Lauraine.

He is survived by: his children, Wendy Benedict (Brian), Wanda Belisle (Rob) and Jackie Tench; his stepchildren, Danny Caponero (Karen) and Tracy Caponero; and his sisters, Sharon, Lauratta and Charlene (Tim). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grand children.
