He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Peterson and Mina Peterson; and his siblings, Violet Peterson, Margaret Wren, Ingrid Landers, Hubert, Elmer, Hjalmer and Floyd.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Acheson; and his children, Allan Peterson (Laura), Jane Bettles (Brian) and Nancy Peterson. He is also survived by children and grandchildren plus three generations of nieces and nephews and cousins.
He and Edna were long time members of the Okanagan Historical Society and donated a number of items to Haney Heritage Park.
