It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Baird in Richmond, British Columbia, born in Vancouver, British Columbia, who passed away on August 2, 2022, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Edith Baird; his grandparents, Simon, Felicia Joe, William and Ethel Baird; his father Lorne Baird; his stepfather David Brown (Brownie); and his brother David (David Brown Sr.).

He is survived by: his family Ken; his wife Cindy; his children, Christina, Cody, Coral (Kaitlin), Riley (Kiana), Griffin and Quinton; his siblings, Terry (Penny), Mike (Laura) and Kim; and his grandchildren, Sienna, Larrah, Makenna, Cashmir and Perseus. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.

In 2019 he won the election for Chief and guided the Tsawwassen people safely through the pandemic.
