With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Malcolm Ian Cavanagh (Qualicum Beach, British Columbia), who passed away on April 15, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Jean Perry; his parents, William Cavanagh and Florence Wilson; and his son-in-law Tom Patterson (Nigel). He is survived by: his children, Nigel, Louise (Mike Vamvounis), Sarah and Jennifer (Bruce Arthur); his grandchildren, Alex, Sarah, Jane, Simon, Malcolm, Lena, Elliott and Evie; his brother-in-law David Perry (Christine); his niece Nicola Jefferies (Stephen); his nephew Adam Perry (Barbara); and his son Ian.

Patricia may have instilled the importance of fighting the good fight in her children, but Ian showed them the importance of charity and service.
