He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Marshall and Florence Marshall; his siblings, Netta Mcglassen and Bob Marshall; his son-in-law Tom Wallace; his nephew Robert Marshall; and his granddaughter Joanelle Raas.

He is survived by: his wife Penny Marshall; his stepsons, Colin and Steven; his grandchildren, Kyle (Riley), Casey, Patrick, Ryan, Alexis, Morgan and Kellen; his great grandchild Liam; and also, Debbie Wallace (Tom), Susie Griggs (Harold) and Kirsten Marshall-Rass (Brian).
