Harold Aldie Desrochers Obituary
With our deepest sorrow, we announce that Harold Aldie Desrochers (Harry), age 78, a most beloved son, brother, uncle, family member and friend, passed on Friday, March 25, 2022. Harry’s death followed a battle with cancer while in Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
Harry was born on September 21, 1943 in Penetanguishene, Ontario to Margaret Desrochers (Pyne) and Trooper Aldie Albert Desrochers, Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) 2nd Armed. Regt.
Harry is survived by his loving sister Norma Coady (Edward) of Kitchener, Ontario and brother Fred Loucks of Orillia, Ontario.
Harry was an industrious, hard worker his entire life. He loved to stay busy and always had hobbies. Harry’s latest hobby was his greenhouse, and he was proud of his bumper crop of cherry tomatoes.
Harry will be missed everyday by his family and many great friends. He was a member at the Moose Lodge in Prince Rupert where the staff had a soft spot for him. Harry will be missed by his family, and his friends with whom he gathered regularly.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Harry’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
A private memorial, and scattering of Harry's ashes, will occur with his family in Prince Rupert, BC.
We know Harry is loved both here on Earth, as well as in Heaven. May he rest in peace.
