He is survived by: his sisters, Edith Schenk, Ingrid Buehl and Erika Rigoni; his daughter Jeanne Pierce; and his granddaughter Lux Pierce.
There will be no service for Karl as per his request, but his family encourages those wishing to honour his memory to make a donation in his name to the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
