Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Nellie Minetta Monk (Powell River, British Columbia), who passed away at the age of 88, on March 3, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband Ross Monk; and her parents, Winnifred Behan (Clutterbuck) and Daniel Behan of Powell River. She is survived by: her sister Winnifred Burroughs of Powell River; her children, Sandy Hurrie (Barry) of Nanaimo and Doug Monk (Susan) of Powell River; her grandchildren, Kurtis Hurrie (Brianna) of Victoria and Kaitlyn Zayonc (Chamberlain); and her great grandchild Jackson Zayonc of Nanaimo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the Powell River Health-Care Auxiliary, BC SPCA Powell River or the BC Cancer Society.
