It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Doreen Makowichuk (Powell River, British Columbia), who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie and Jim (Victor); her daughter Brenda; and her siblings, Robert and Margaret McClelland.

She is survived by: her children, Peter, Carol Mortenson (Stewart) and Mark; her grandchildren, Dawn Marie, Cody, Matthew, Toni, Randi and Christopher; her siblings, Barb Watts, Brian (Betty) and Dennis (Diane); her brother-in-law Brain McClelland; and her close friend Anna Scott. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
