Robert Dennis Broadfoot Obituary

Robert Dennis Broadfoot, passed away on April 1, 2022, after a battle with dementia. He was 69 yrs old. He is remembered by his wife of 34 yrs, Karla (Lysne) Broadfoot as well as the extended Lysne/Henderson families. He was predeceased by parents Bert and Meryl, and brother Kevin.

Born near Winnipeg, Manitoba then moved to Campbell River at age 4, his primary home until 1988, when he moved to Victoria, BC. to be near his mother. In 2000 Robert moved to Port Hardy BC. He had come to really like the north island town, and being close to his in-laws and extended family.

Robert entered a mid-island long-term care in May of 2020. In December of 2020, he was transferred to Port Hardy facility, Eagle Ridge Manor. The care he received was exemplary. Robert immediately felt more at home.

Robert is remembered as kind and generous. Ambitious and always willing to give a hand where needed. He will be missed by so many.

There are no events planned, as he did not wish to have a service.
