She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Moraes and Martha Moraes. She is survived by: her children, Linda (Murray), Terry (Judy) and Brenda (Garry).
After Al retired the couple settled at Rocky Creek Seniors Park in Ladysmith where Shirley continued her many activities until Alzheimer's made it impossible for her to stay at home.
