We bid farewell to James Findlay (Port Coquitlam, British Columbia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 5, 2024 at the age of 94. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Findlay and Jean Findlay; and his sisters, Sarah McKendrick (Sadie) and Anna Findlay. He is survived by: his wife Janet Findlay (Jenny); his children, Lisa Pidhirniak (Peter) and Michael Findlay (Michelle); his grandchildren, Sarah Hamilton (Lorne) and Ryan Pidhirniak (Kelli Severson); and his great grandchildren, Reagan and Quinn Pidhirniak.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Crossroads Hospice Society and/or the BC Cancer Foundation. And if you are so inclined, please raise a glass of Jim's favourite scotch whisky - The Famous Grouse - in celebration of his 94-year journey.
