It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Tsuruyo (Shigematsu) Hamagishi (Port Alberni, British Columbia), born in Victoria, British Columbia, who passed away on June 26, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Hamagishi; her parents, Zennojo Shigematsu and Kiyoko Shigematsu; and her siblings, Toshi, Shuji, Yosh, Hiroshi and Sue.

She is survived by: her children, Karl, Maureen (Will), Leah (Mark), Denise (Terry) and Greg; her grandchildren, Kyle, Ciara, Lamica (Chris), Alicia, Reiko, Tani (Joe), Brieanna (Jon), Sean and Joel; her great grandchildren, Caden, Jaxon and Kade; and her siblings, Marge (George) and Glenn. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
