She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Swanson and Sinclair Swanson; and her stepdaughter Lene. She is survived by: her husband Mike Shewchuk; her sisters, Valerie Kelly and Bev Kinman (Ross); her sons, Gary Volkman, Greg Volkman (Karen), Grant Volkman and Michael Shewchuk (Jodi); and her grandchildren, Keith, Kyle, Rebecca, Rachel, Vanessa, Sydney, Zoe, Victoria, Gage, Jake, Nicole and Camryn. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.

No formal public services will be held due to Covid-19.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
