He was predeceased by: his parents, Peterje Pater and Maartin Pater; and his siblings, Greta Dekens and Nelis Pater. He is survived by: his wife Enid; his daughters, Rhonda Varga (Joe), Angela Vandermey (Vince) and Sarah Ethier (Tom); and his brothers, Richard Pater, Alan Pater and Martin Pater. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
