Irene left this world on July 22, 2024 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Adelard Gaudet and Josephine Gaudet (Chartrand); her husband Bert; her daughter Shirley Leger; her son-in-law Cliff Neyedli; her granddaughter Shasta Thomson; her grandson-in-law Arnie Chycoski; and her siblings, Gerard, John, Raymond Gaudet, Claire Riendeau, Jean Markin, Cecilia Bewley and Yvonne McKinnon.
She is survived by: her children, Jim (Nancy) of Williams Lake, BC, Sheila Neyedli of White Rock, BC, David (Katerina) of Port Alberni, BC, Tom (Ruth) of San Antonio, TX, Debbie of White Rock, BC and Bert (Sheila) of Waterloo, ON; her son-in-law Mike Leger (Trish) of Parksville, BC; her daughter Beth Vallee; and her siblings, Mary Watt of Mt. Vernon, WA, Dodie Markin of Pitt Meadows, BC and Paulie Gaudet of Port Alberni, BC. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
