He was predeceased by: his mother Carol Ronk. He is survived by: his wife Julie Trees; his children, Alisha Roberts (Lance), Katie Trees (Cody Stevens) and Sheldon Trees (Taylor); his grandsons, Blake and Liam; his father Ron J. Trees (Jan); and his brothers, Timothy Trees, Craig Trees (Lynette) and Jake Trees. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many great friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerald's memory may be made to the Gerald Trees Memorial Fund for the People of Peru Project.
