“On behalf of the Alberni Valley Outdoor Club, I'd like to say what a kind and thoughtful person he was on the many trips we shared with him. He was a long time member, and served for many years as our president. He always brought extra supplies for emergencies and was frequently able to help out other trip companions from minor mishaps. He was unfailingly supportive, and was an inspiration to all of us younger members. He will be missed.”
