He was predeceased by: his wife Akant Kaur Dhak; and his granddaughter Karin. He is survived by: his children, Balbir (Amarjit), Avtindar, Jatindar (Amy) and Kalbir; his grandchildren, Jagvir (Rina), Jaeden, Ethan, Madisyn and Giana; and his great grandchildren, Rahul and Jaya.
