He is survived by: his wife Ranjit Rai; his son Kim Rai (Meena); his stepchildren, Baljit Kaur, Mena Rai and Ranu Dhillon (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Jaspreet Singh, Haroop Singh, Isha Rai, Veera Rai, Makhan Rai, Kartar Rai and Maya.
