Sherry Lee (Gorder) Gorder-Monsees Obituary
The angels came this morning as Sherry Lee passed peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 75 in Penticton, BC. It is with sadness we announce the passing of our sister, mother, and grandmother.
Sherry leaves to mourn her family and friends, sisters; Valerie Gorder-Moore (Don) Linda Gorder-Woodrow, her brother Fred Gorder (Helen). Sherry’s precious daughters Leah Stadelwieser and Lisa Monsees-Mackie. Her joy, her grandsons; Thomas and Lucas Stadelwieser; her loving nieces and nephews and Sherry’s companion and the love of her life Andy Fabbi. Her friends and neighbours, THE GOLDEN GIRLS, Sherry treasured your friendship and acts of kindness to the end. Her supportive and kind Sons in laws Clarence Stadelwieser and Rob Mackie. Predeceased by her parents in 2009 Harry and Florence Gorder.
Sherry attended Saskatchewan schools at Dover School, Fairy Glen, Kinistino, and Melfort MUCC.
Sherry was the family hostess, always entertaining her family on special occasions. Her interests were her doggies, dancing, gardening, and volunteerism. She canned the most delicious peaches for her family from her orchard. Laughingly Sherry said, she did not have time to die, cancer took its toll. Sherry’s ashes will be placed in the family plot at Candle Lake Cemetery, Candle Lake, Saskatchewan at a later date.
Gone from our sight but never from our Hearts.
Rest in Peace dear sister.
The family wishes to thank The Moog & Friends Hospice in Penticton, BC for their care.
