He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna; his children, Cathryn Dixon (Chris Gray) of Delta and Brent Sauer (Lynn) of Summerland; his grandchildren, Trevor, Christine Dixon, Megan, Robert and Steven Sauer; his siblings, Richard 'Mickey' Sauer (Carol) of Delta and Donnalyn Noble (Barry) of Langley; and his friend Carl.
