Celeste Maria Brasil Melo Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Celeste Maria Brasil Melo (Penticton, British Columbia), who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Celeste find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel; and her brother Francisco. She is survived by: her children, Lucy Gagnon (Ron), Anna Melo and Jamie Melo (Kelli); and her sisters, Maria Gelermina and Irene Silva (Mario). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
A prayer was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 6:30 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (1296 Main St, Penticton, BC V2A5G2).
