He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Chorney and Mary Chorney (Kozoway); his brothers, Roman (Anne Gregory), Orest (Trudy Buhler), Myron (Stephanie Telicki), Slawko (Thelma Sloan) and Nestor; his nieces, Lorna Jean Chorney, Debbie Townsend (Chorney) and Cindy Lou Olchoway (Chorney); and his nephew John Michael Chorney.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Anna Chorney (Primeau); his daughters, Catherine Chorney (Dan) of Port Alberni, BC and Leanne Batistini (Fabio) of Coquitlam, BC; his granddaughters, Sophia Batistini and Cristina Batistini of Coquitlam, BC; and his sister-in-law Wilma Chorney (Terry) of Coleman, AB.
