He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Sarah and Neil (Jennie); his grandchildren, Shylo, Olivia, Taren and Chance; his parents, Akbar and Roshan; and his siblings, Shafik (Nur), Navroz (Naushad), Neemira (Imtihaz) and Shenila (Arif). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
