He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Martha of Norway; his brothers, John (Williams Lake) and Palmer (Langley); and his stepbrother Bernt (Norway).

He is survived by: his sister Margaret (Al) of North Delta; his sons, Stephen (Dawn) of California, Darren (Devon) and Bradley (Tiffany) of Vancouver; and his stepsons, Paul of Victoria and David (Michelle) of Vancouver. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
