He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sutherland and Elizabeth Sutherland; his siblings, Cliff, Ken and Betty; and his wife Audrey.
He is survived by: his children, Amina (Joan), Gerald and Garnette; his grandchildren, Huda, Christina, Catherine, Andrew, Ismail and Laila; and his great grandchildren, Amin, Karim, Rami and Zayd. He is also survived by his extended family and friends.
