He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Tomlin and Lil Tomlin; his siblings, Doris, Irene, Vic and Alan; and his granddaughter Lois.

He is survived by: his children, Lorne (Kathy), Dennis (Jean), Ralph (Michele) and Teresa. He is also survived by six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
