He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Young of Summerland and Yvonne Gingell; and his stepfather Lorne Gingell of New Westminster. He is survived by: his daughters, Nicole of New Westminster and Lisa Young of New Westminster; his half-sister Lori Wertz; his stepmother Doreen Young; his aunt Nancy Johnston; his nephews, Darren Wertz (Kyli Haugland) and Colin Wertz (Kierstin DeRosier); his great-nephew Brayden Wertz of Summerland; and his cousin Jennifer Johnston (Tim Reinert) of Vancouver.
