She was predeceased by: her sisters, Marie, Hazel and Irene; her parents, Stanley Horsman and Nellie Horsman; and her husband Joe Scales.

She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie; her son-in-law Ray Neumar; her grandchildren, Michelle Naka (Brian) and Tracey Brenton (Russ); her great grandchildren, Jessica Clements (Jeff), Matthew, Meghan, Jasmine and Liam; and her friend Ivan Laughton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
