He is survived by: his parents, Ernst Liebenow and Emma Liebenow (Schulz); his sister Irmgard; his wife Gerda; his siblings, Ernst-Adolf (Lottie) and Marianne (Helmut); his daughters, Beate (Wayne), Katrin (Brian) and Annette (Josh); and his grandchildren, Dara, Cullen, Mason, Brendan and Mia.
