He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Fleming and Ross Fleming; and his siblings, Gladys, Robert, Donald, Arthur, Wallace and Clive.

He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his grandchildren, Gordon Ritchey, David Ritchey (Christina), Stephanie Fromberg, Mitchell Fromberg, Laura Williamson (Daniel) and Lindsay Fleming; his great grandchildren, Niamh Ritchey, Max Ritchey and India Ritchey; his sister Rosemary Reilly; and also, Minnie Fleming (Robertson), Brian, Janet Ritchey (Greg), Dale Fromberg (Mark) and John (Barb). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
